This is my second twin fic, unlike the other however this is a "Parents are bastards, brother is a spoilt attention seeking retard with a superiority complex." anyway some plot info.


 


-It starts at the end of Chamber of Secrets but after that I'm pretty much gonna skip third year because nothing much will be happening in it and the story doesn't really get going until fourth year, third is really just introducing how things go.


-I am being overly harsh with Harry but unlike most twin fics his parents aren't bad or evil just in a habit of ignoring Harry for his brother, habits are hard to break, especially if you don't want to, so they're more foolish than evil. Someone I let read this (Before I've gone over it again as I'm doing now, I have more written but it's rough.) asked why I'm so cruel to Harry and the answer that made the most sense is I'm a prick.


-There will be quite a few OC's.


-I don't have pairings sorted out yet, suggestions are welcome but it won't be an incest fic, just saying.

Anyway, not totally pleased with this chapter but the first few up until end of third year and the story starting proper, it'll really get started during Twiwizard.

I figure Durmstrang puts more emphasis into combat and stuff than the lame stuff Hogwarts do so it's not too far a stretch for them to have proper dueling lessons?

Right?

Ok.

I really, really, really hate this chapter but I couldn't think of a good way of doing a year with nothing happening in it so I skipped it pretty much.

 

But as I said, the story really gets started in the fourth year (Harry's fifth but yeah....)

 

Anyway, this is filler more than anything else.

Again, I loathe this chapter, I should have put more time in but I've been swamped trying to finish something for college (I hate composing!)

Anyway, this is basically setting stuff up for later and yes, I decided to give Harry about 5 minutes of happiness.

As I said before, he was gonna become more cunnning and this is the baby stage of that.

 

So yeah.

I'm gonna rush the rest of the time at Durmstrang in the next chapter so we can go to Hogwarts, it will be literally about 1,000 words of Durmstrang then all Hogwarts next chapter.

I did think I'd lost the rough version of this story I was working from when I found out I couldn't get anything from my old Harddrive but I had an older version of it stored elsewhere, so I can do a few more chapters then I'll need to remember as much as I can to rewrite what was lost from the rough version.

9. First task, Yule dates and meetings. by Juuso [Reviews - 2] starstarstarstarstar (5523 words)

I know on first glance this chapter seems a bit of a waste of space aside from the end of the first task (It was actually meant to be two chapters with one the end of the first task but that isn't important.) but it is absolutely crucial for what I have planned for later.

In particular the last scene if you would call it that.

If you'd review I'd be rather gracious.

This is a chapter that has very little impact on the future of the fic but I don't honestly think I could get away with not mentioning the Ball.

Anyway yeah, basically I lost all my future bits so I wrote down all the major events I can remember from the rough copy of this fic and I'm working on them now. I've got another 11 events I'd done in the rough which means it takes us to somewhere near the end of OoTP, but I should have more done by the time those 11 are done.

This chapter isn't my best but that's mainly because it was written in about a dozen sittings (Most of the time I do it in anything from 1 to 4 for my own sanity.) as I couldn't find a way to do this in a way I like and I didn't have a beta since it was written while I was travelling.

Before anything else I'd like to apologize for my slow updates with around four months between my last update of this story, well, long story short Writers block, marriage, work and lastly breaking my arm and hand have somewhat got in the way.

That's also why the grammar might be less than perfect at the latter half of this chapter.
